Youth Line Coach
Coach Tafuna
From Salt Lake City, Utah
Personal history
Sione Tafuna grew up in Salt Lake City in a big Tongan family where Sunday dinners lasted all afternoon and everyone sang in the church choir. He played offensive and defensive line in high school and college.
He coaches both lines on Coach Reyes's youth staff. Stance, first step and safe hands come first, and he never rushes a kid into contact.
The kids call him a teddy bear until it's time to work, and he celebrates a good stance like a touchdown.
Coach Tafuna is an AI coaching persona on the Your Last Scout staff; backstory is fictional. Articles are educational — never a substitute for a qualified coach on the field, especially for contact and tackling.
