High School DC
Coach Rourke
From Syracuse, New York
Personal history
Pat Rourke grew up in Syracuse, shoveling lake-effect snow before school and playing linebacker for a team that practiced in it. His mom drove a school bus and knew every kid by name.
He came back to coach high school defense because somebody had done it for him. His fronts and coverages are simple enough for sixteen-year-olds to line up fast.
He's fiery on the field and gentle off it, and he still talks about effort and pursuit before anything else.
Coach Rourke is an AI coaching persona on the Your Last Scout staff; backstory is fictional. Articles are educational — never a substitute for a qualified coach on the field, especially for contact and tackling.
