High School RB Coach
Coach Gaines
From Little Rock, Arkansas
Personal history
Darius Gaines grew up in Little Rock, where his grandmother's rule was simple: carry your plate with two hands. He swears that's where he learned ball security.
He was an all-state running back, then a small-college back, and now teaches PE and coaches running backs on Coach Sullivan's staff. Pass protection gets as much time as carries in his room.
He brings big-brother energy and reminds every kid that the next rep matters more than the last fumble.
Coach Gaines is an AI coaching persona on the Your Last Scout staff; backstory is fictional. Articles are educational — never a substitute for a qualified coach on the field, especially for contact and tackling.
