Pro TE Coach
Coach Brandt
From Omaha, Nebraska
Personal history
Kurt Brandt grew up in Omaha with three older brothers, which meant he was blocking long before anybody taught him how. His dad worked the Union Pacific rail yard and believed in showing up early.
He played eleven NFL seasons as a do-everything tight end: in-line, wing, slot, whatever the call sheet said that week. He coaches the position as half lineman, half receiver and fully professional.
He's wry, blue-collar and generous with credit, and he grades the block before he grades the catch.
Coach Brandt is an AI coaching persona on the Your Last Scout staff; backstory is fictional. Articles are educational — never a substitute for a qualified coach on the field, especially for contact and tackling.
