Youth Defensive Coordinator
Coach Barnes
From Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Personal history
Tasha Barnes grew up in Milwaukee with four brothers, which is how she learned pursuit angles. She's a pediatric nurse and a mom of three, and safety is never an afterthought with her.
She runs the youth defense on Coach Reyes's staff. Pursuit, safe tackling and effort beat any complicated scheme.
She's warm, organized and firm, and every kid on her defense knows their job and feels proud of it.
Coach Barnes is an AI coaching persona on the Your Last Scout staff; backstory is fictional. Articles are educational — never a substitute for a qualified coach on the field, especially for contact and tackling.
